Padel, Wine, and Mountains: A Santiago Long Weekend

Santiago’s secret weapon is its surroundings. Few cities let you play a morning of padel, lunch in a vineyard, and still see snow on the peaks from your court. Here’s a long weekend that uses all of it.
The base
Stay in the eastern neighbourhoods toward the mountains — closest to the densest club cluster, with the best Andes views and easy access to both the wine valleys and the road up the mountain.
The shape of the weekend
— Day 1 — Arrive, evening match to adjust to the altitude and the air, dinner in Lastarria or Bellavista.
— Day 2 — Morning padel, then a vineyard afternoon in the Maipo or Casablanca valley.
— Day 3 — A tougher session or a coaching block, then a recovery walk in the foothills.
— Day 4 — One last game with the regulars you found, then the airport.
The doctrine
— The air is dry and the light is strong — hydrate and pack sun cover even in spring.
— Wine valleys are an hour-plus each way; give the vineyard day its own slot, don’t cram it.
Court and tour prices shift with the season — confirm live on the booking apps and with the wineries rather than trusting a fixed figure.
